Pilates
Joseph H. Pilates created a series of progressive movements to bring the human body back to uniform development.
He believed in the “unique trinity of a balanced body, mind, and spirit” and believed it could be obtained through six Principles: Concentration, Control, Centering, Flowing Movement, Precision, and Breathing.
The goal of his repertoire is to strengthen the body while creating flexibility. Strength and flexibility will allow the body to come “closer to alignment and anatomical correctness”.
