Carey Sadler

Carey Sadler is the owner and lead instructor at Rivercity Pilates in North Liberty, Iowa.

She completed her comprehensive certification through Body Precision Pilates (Rosemont, PA) in 2002 and is also certified by the Pilates Method Alliance.

An Iowa native, Carey grew up in Evansdale and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1997 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. After a short time working as an engineer, she discovered her true passion—helping people feel their best through movement. She transitioned into personal training and soon found her calling as a Pilates teacher.

Carey loves combining her technical knowledge of anatomy and physiology with the art of coaching and the psychology of teaching movement.

In 2009, she founded Rivercity Pilates, which has grown into a warm, supportive community where clients and staff alike embrace movement as a lifelong tool for health. The studio is known for its welcoming, inclusive environment—where every body fits in.

Since 2011, Carey has also been training and mentoring Pilates teachers. She is passionate about helping instructors embody the method in their own practice, develop effective teaching skills, and, most importantly, embrace their own authentic voice as teachers.
